About Morgan Peterson:Morgan Peterson is the winner of Season 4 of the popular Netflix series, Blown Away, a glassblowing competition. During the season, Morgan disclosed that she had been diagnosed with diabetes and benefited from an ADA grant for the initial testing necessary to diagnose the disease. One of Morgan’s winning pieces depicted the struggle of living with diabetes: a glass syringe hanging over three colorful gumdrops.
Morgan graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and resides in Seattle, where she is a full-time member of Dale Chihuly’s team. She has family in Massachusetts, including two siblings who are doctors, and her mother, a nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Morgan’s love for glassblowing began at age four when she attended her first demo at the Sandwich Glass Museum, sparking a lifelong passion.
When approached by the American Diabetes Association to speak and demonstrate her skills at a fundraising reception, Morgan enthusiastically agreed, expressing her desire to give back. Since winning the Netflix competition, Morgan has worked on pieces for Hollywood and gained fame for her unique style. She has promised to promote the event and the silent auction through her social media channels.
Morgan is also donating one of her Season 4 pieces, “the toaster and the bathtub,” to the silent auction. This event is a great opportunity to spotlight her incredible journey and support two important causes.
