April showers bring May flowers! And what a merry Month of May we have lined up for you at the Sandwich Glass Museum.
To launch another month of festivities in this our bicentennial celebration year we are delighted to be participating again in the Cape Cod Museum Trail's Museum Mondays in May.
We hope to see you next Monday!
Then coming up mid month we are equally delighted to be offering you the opportunity to identify that mystery glass heirloom you've always wondered about. Our panel of scholars will offer their opinion on your piece's provenance. Tickets are $5 and are available both in advance and at the door.
Saturday May 17th, 10 - noon & 12:30 - 2 pm
Then to top it all off, we will be hosting a celebrity talk and book signing event on the 31st, starting with a private meet-and-greet for members and donors at 5pm, followed by the public lecture presentation and book signing starting at 5:30pm. Come meet glass artist Josh Simpson and retired NASA astronaut Cady Coleman, listen to them tell the story of their shared life journey, then purchase autographed copies of their books!

Bicentennial Update
Looking back on the month of April, we're all amazed at how much happened, and it's not even summer yet! We offered another of our very popular Glass Fusing class with Kim Savoie, launched a glass making instruction for kids program called the SGM Glass Academy, offered this year by Richard Jolley, soft-launched the Discover GlassRoom, and hosted a big bash historical reenactment of the factory groundbreaking 200 years ago.
Whew!
Coming up, we are planning two more bicentennial themed events, The Glass Gathering on July 25th and A Toast to the Past on August 23rd. More details coming soon so stay tuned!
And looking ahead to early June, since it's only 5 weeks away...
June 7th & 8th
10 am - 2 pm
7th Annual Sea Fair
Featuring live lamp working demonstrations by local glass artist Isabel Green both Saturday and Sunday.
We strive every day to help build community here in Sandwich. Please help spread the word by liking our new page on Facebook, following us on Instagram, posting a review on Google or TripAdvisor, or becoming a member if you're not already one!
