What's Your Glass 2024

On June 15th we hosted our first ever "What's Your Glass?" event in the Hirschmann Theater. Our panel of scholars was kept busy all morning and much of the afternoon as well, evaluating the historic glass brought in by owners. A fascinating variety of glass pieces were evaluated, from ornate candlesticks to delicately engraved compote dishes.

Some owners were curious to know if their pressed glass piece had been made by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Factory, others merely wanted to know whether it was Early American Pressed Glass or made in Europe. In every case our scholars carefully considered the piece and offered their insights, to the great gratification of everyone involved.
