What's Your Glass 2025

Five Glass Scholars arrived at the Sandwich Glass Museum this past Saturday eager to share their expertise with curious visitors.
They arrived throughout the day with their treasures: a pitcher free blown in the Sandwich Glass Factory in the early 1800’s, a Grandmother’s elegant midcentury crystal decanter, a rare early American blown and cut tavern bottle with it’s origin metal stopper.
These and many more intimately cherished pieces were carefully scrutinized by panelists and guests, who were delighted to learn more about items which had often been displayed in homes for years without much background information to accompany them.
Panelists' areas of expertise covered many styles and periods of glass art, including early American, European, mid-century and contemporary techniques. Guests were able to have their items photographed in a photo booth by the Museum’s guest photographer, and left delighted with their new information.
What’s Your Glass is an annual Event, held in late spring by the Sandwich Historical Society and its Glass Museum.
