The Glassmaker's Circle
Leadership Giving Society
of the Sandwich Historical Society and Glass Museum
The Glassmaker’s Circle is the premier leadership giving society of the Sandwich Historical Society and Glass Museum.
Glassmaker’s Circle participants are recognized for their philanthropic leadership and generous support of the Museum’s mission—helping sustain exhibitions, collections, educational initiatives, live glassmaking demonstrations, and the continuation of this vibrant artistic tradition for future generations.
RECOGNITION OF LEADERSHIP GIVING
Individuals whose cumulative annual giving reaches $1,000 or more between January 1 and December 31 are recognized as participants in the Glassmaker’s Circle.
A DEEPER CONNECTION TO THE MUSEUM
Stewardship & Engagement Opportunities
Participants may receive invitations to select Museum programs, exhibition previews, demonstrations, conversations, and other stewardship or engagement opportunities throughout the year.
Curatorial & Leadership Engagement
Participants may have opportunities to engage with Museum leadership, curatorial staff, educators, artists, and glassmakers to gain deeper insight into the Museum’s collections, exhibitions, educational programs, and future initiatives.
Glassmaker’s Circle Conversations
From time to time, the Museum may host informal gatherings and conversations for supporters, trustees, artists, educators, community partners, and prospective supporters to encourage dialogue, connection, and engagement with the Museum’s mission and future direction.
Curated Cultural Engagement Opportunities
The Museum may periodically extend invitations to curated cultural or stewardship experiences that reflect the artistic, historical, and regional connections central to the Museum’s mission. Participation in such activities is optional and may be subject to availability or separate registration requirements.
Connection to Impact
Participants receive updates and insights regarding the impact of philanthropic support on the Museum’s exhibitions, collections, educational initiatives, Glass Academy, and Glass Studio.
Recognition
Glassmaker’s Circle participants may be acknowledged in select Museum communications and donor recognition materials.
A COMMUNITY OF SUPPORT
The Glassmaker’s Circle is not a membership program, but a recognition society honoring individuals whose philanthropic leadership helps preserve the legacy of glassmaking while supporting the Museum’s future growth and educational mission.
TAX INFORMATION
The Glassmaker’s Circle is intended as a philanthropic recognition society rather than a transactional membership program. Benefits associated with participation are generally incidental, discretionary, and stewardship-oriented in nature.
The Sandwich Historical Society and Glass Museum has determined that no substantial goods or services are provided in exchange for qualifying contributions to the Glassmaker’s Circle. Should any optional event or activity include goods or services with a determinable fair market value, such value will be communicated separately where applicable.
Donors may decline participation in any optional stewardship or engagement activities.
Why Your Donation Matters
Like most small museums across the U.S., the Sandwich Glass Museum depends largely on the financial support of the community.
In this milestone year of bi-centennial celebration, we invite you to express your support to ensure we can grow by adding glass making classes and experiences while continuing to showcase our vibrant glass making past and provide exhibition space for contemporary glass artists.
The Sandwich Historical Society’s Glass Museum is independently owned and operated. All operational expenses including staffing, insurance, utilities and facilities maintenance, are borne by the Sandwich Historical Society.
Your generosity will help keep this incredible community resource alive!
