To support this worthy cause, the Museum is proud to be donating a special pink glass pumpkin created by artist Yukimi Matsumoto. Born in Osaka, Japan, Matsumoto trained in production design before completing an apprenticeship at Suwa Glass Studio in Nagano and establishing her professional career as a glass artist. Her approach to glassmaking is grounded in patience, collaboration, and respect for the material, reflecting her belief that glass must be guided rather than forced as its form and beauty emerge.

Selected as a meaningful symbol of breast cancer awareness, this distinctive piece will be presented to a breast cancer survivor on October 3rd in recognition of her strength, perseverance, and journey.
