Stories from the Sandwich Historical Society Collection: Exploring America at 250 Through the Objects We Preserve

Sunday, November 1, 2026, 2:00 p.m.

at the Sandwich Glass Museum & Historical Society

What does 250 years of American history look like through the objects preserved in one Cape Cod town?

Over the past year, we’ve been looking closely at objects in the Sandwich Glass Museum & Historical Society collections and asking a simple question: What can they tell us about the American story?

On Sunday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m., Curator Bonnie Campbell Lilienfeld will bring many of those stories together. We’ll meet some of the people behind the objects, explore Sandwich’s connections to events far beyond Cape Cod, and share a few of the surprises that emerged when we took a fresh look at things that have sometimes been in the collection for more than a century.
