The inaugural talk of our 2026 Speakers Series was Daniel Fornari, Emeritus Research Scholar - Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), speaking on the topic of Deep-Sea Volcanic Glass, its Beauty and Context. On April 12th Daniel delighted the audience with his visually stunning lecture exploring how deep-sea volcanic glass forms, what it reveals about Earth's ocean crust, and how it has inspired both scientists and artists alike.
