February 2026

In February the museum was open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For Valentine's Day we offered six lucky couples the chance to blow their own glass paperweight, with chocolates and prosecco afterwards to celebrate the occasion! This was our second year of offering Valentine's Day Glass Experience, and once again it sold out very quickly. What a wonderful way to celebrate this special day!

The Dodge Macknight exhibit continued to elicit enthusiasm. It's always lovely to discover that a talented artist lived and worked nearby!

We also featured a delightful musical performance by a wonderful trio featuring Mariellen Sears, Alex Nelson, and Betsy Doriss. We also featured a delightful musical performance by a wonderful trio featuring Mariellen Sears, Alex Nelson, and Betsy Doriss.

But the big excitement in February was the soft launch of our new SGM Glass Academy programming. We hired a new Director of Education, Meghan Derion, who immediately started offering new glass fusing and glass mosiac classes.  We are so happy that she joined us!
