2025: Illuminating the Past, Sparking the Future

In 2025 the Sandwich Glass Museum of the Sandwich Historical Society is celebrating 200 years of glassmaking in Sandwich MA!

We have in our possession a limited number of vintage reproduction cup plates made by Pairpoint Glass in the 1980s, and have decided to put some of them up for sale as a fun bi-centennial themed fundraiser.

Most of these clear glass cup plates are one-of-a-kind, at least for us. And once sold we don't have any way to make more, since the molds used to make them are no longer around.

Here is your chance to acquire a unique vintage reproduction and support the Sandwich Historical Society and Glass Museum at the same time.

Colored Glass

Unique

Colored glass is more difficult to work with due to the need to clean the crucible of the color beween production runs, but the results are simply lovely! We've priced these at $50, because they're twice as nice as the clear glass plates (priced at $25), we have only a few, and this is after all a fundraiser!

Collectable

The clear glass cup plates in this collection all have designs that reference the Town of Sandwich in some way. We've priced these at $25, because we're celebrating the bicentennial of glass making in Sandwich, 1825- 2025.

The plates in this collection are not directly related to our bi-centennial theme but are still vintage and eminently collectable. These are also priced at $25. All proceeds go to help the Sandwich Historical Society and Glass Museum put on special events in this bi-centennial celebration year!
