About Vitrix Hot Glass Studio

Vitrix Hot Glass Studio is a unique part of Corning, New York's rich glassmaking legacy and the culture of “America’s Crystal City.” Located in the historic building once home to T.G. Hawkes & Company, Vitrix honors that history through exceptional craftsmanship, creativity, and collaboration. Led by master glassblower Tom Kelly, along with his brother Bob and a talented team of artists, Vitrix creates distinctive handmade glass art, including iconic heechee probes, pyroplasm sculptures, pumpkins, snowmen, perfume bottles, and more. Each piece reflects decades of experience and the unique relationship between artist and molten glass. Through teamwork and an uncompromising commitment to quality, Vitrix continues to create collectible glass art that celebrates Corning’s glassmaking heritage while bringing its own distinctive vision to the community.
