Glass Beads Flameworking Workshop (Hyannis)

Get ready to melt, shape, and play with glass! In this hands-on flameworking workshop, you’ll learn the basics of working with soft glass and discover how it comes alive in the flame.

You’ll create your own colorful glass beads on a metal mandrel, experimenting with fun techniques like pulling delicate stringers, adding dots, and creating unique textures. Watch the glass twist, flow, and transform as you build each bead.

There’s plenty of room to experiment, whether you love bold colors and patterns or something a little more subtle. Come curious, get creative, and see what you can make!

No experience needed—just bring your imagination and a willingness to have fun.

Safety & What to Expect

This class will be held at our HyArts Campus Flamework Studio

Working with molten glass is exciting, but it does require a few important safety precautions. For your protection, all participants must wear 100% cotton or linen clothing (synthetic fabrics are not allowed), along with closed-toe shoes. If you have long hair, please be sure to tie it back securely before class.

Please note that all glass pieces created during the workshop must cool slowly in a kiln overnight to ensure durability and prevent cracking. Your finished beads will be ready for pickup the following day.
