The excitement of the summer season is upon us! June is filled with events galore!
The 6th Annual SeaFair! 🐋
June 1st and 2nd
10:00 - 2:00pm
The 2024 Shell of the Year, shown above, is made in Sandwich by McDermott Glass Studio, run by David McDermott and his wife Yukimi Matusmoto. As with all beautiful handmade glass art size and color may vary slightly.
Please join us for this exciting outdoor show and sales event as we showcase glass artists and their amazing talent! Aquatic and Nautical themed glass items will delight all who attend.
We are proud to feature pieces blown in our very own SGM Studio along with the best by local and regional artists! Items to look forward to include whale tails, conch shells, waves, sailboats, various sea creatures, and other nautical ornaments. This outdoor event is free to attend. Touring of the Museum is paid admission.
What's Your Glass? June 15th 2024 10am - 2pm
(Break for lunch from 12-12:30pm.)
Join us in the Hirschmann Theater at the Sandwich Glass Museum for an exciting opportunity to learn more about your personal glass collection!
Attendees are invited to bring a piece of glass to be analyzed by a panel of Glass Scholars specializing in both historic and contemporary glass.
Admission to this event is $5 at the door. All attendees will be invited to enter their name into a free drawing to win a special glass prize.
We encourage all those planning to attend to complete the Pre-Registration form below as space for the event is limited.

Exhibit from June 21st to November 2, 2024 Heartbeats and Harmony Individual and Collaborative works by Bob Dane and Carl Lopes Explore individual and collaborative works celebrating the profound influence of African music, rhythm, imagery, on our collective human culture.
About Carl Lopes & Robert Dane:
Carl Lopes, a career artist and retired art educator, received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute. His mixed material paintings pay tribute to African heritages with vibrant colors and striking designs. His work is showcased in permanent collections across New England and internationally.
Robert Dane began blowing glass at Massachusetts College of Art in 1973. With inspiration drawn from the Italian tradition of glassblowing, his studio, Heath Brook Studio, reflects a distinctly American flavor. His sculptures and glassware have been exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide and are held in prestigious permanent collections.
