Discover Glass: STEM of Glass and Design: Ages 15-19

Date: Wednesday April 23rd  
Duration: 2 hours
Ages: 15-19
Start time:  1-3pm.
Pre-work: Students are asked to bring in design drawings of an object that the student would like to see made in glass

This class takes place in the museum galleries and in the Hot Shop

Schedule:

• 1-1:30 Gallery Tour pointing out technique, color, science and the evolution of glass making components, tools and techniques from historic to contemporary
• 1:30- 3pm Hands-on instructor guided make your own glass art "Glass Experience". Students will actively participate in making one or two, time permitting, glass objects selected from their own designs.
