Green Mountain Candy Cane

Handmade in Vermont by Michael Egan's team at Green Mountain Glassworks.

Much of Michael Egan's work is an exploration of possibilities using intricate traditional Italian cane, in the Murano tradition.  Using a wide array of ancient techniques he blends clear base glass with colored glass from Germany and New Zealand, drawing and twisting large masses of glass into rods no thicker than a familiar yellow pencil.  These rods are then cut and incorporated into each ornament, giving each a unique structure and color profile.

Measures approximately 7" long by 2.25" wide.
